Wordmark

Design › Wordmark

Instead of a single logo we use wordmarks that link Estonia with specific industry. The wordmarks have a fixed graphic form and rules for usage which cannot be altered. Always use our original wordmark files – never construct wordmarks yourself.

Construction

Our official wordmark is based on Aino headline typeface, but with a bolder cut for more legibility in smaller sizes.

Main wordmark. Can be used in positive or negative, on photos and full color backgrounds.

Main stacked wordmark – use when there’s lack of space. Can be used in positive or negative, on photos and full color backgrounds.

Boxed wordmark – use when necessary to stand out from the rest or from noisy backgrounds. Can be used in positive or negative.

Square wordmark – use when necessary to stand out or with narrow/square formats.

Safe area

Minimum safe area is based on the height of the wordmark text. Consider minimum safe area around the logo when using together with partner logos and when using backgrounds. Safe area doesn’t apply to margins and grids.

Using wordmark with partner logos

The sizing of partner logos depends on the selected wordmark.

Wordmark sizing

Use the grid of a layout to size the logo. Check the layout chapter for more information on placing the wordmark and other elements.

Using wordmarks on roll-ups and other vertical carriers

Boxed wordmark should be used when there’s a headline text and/or a full bleed image in the background. Its size depends on the format and media (print, screen). Image can be used either cropped or in full bleed.

Examples of how the wordmark is used on roll-ups

Regular wordmark should be used when there’s no headline text and the wordmark itself acts as a headline or call-to action. Image can be used either cropped or in full bleed.

Using wordmarks on banners and other horizontal carriers

Boxed wordmark should be used when there’s a headline text and/or a full bleed image in the background. Its size depends on the format and media (print, screen).

Examples of how the wordmark is used on banners

Regular wordmark should be used when there’s no headline text and the wordmark itself acts as a headline or call-to action.
